One of the latest arrivals .....

..... to the pond in Queens Park.  This wee duckling is one of six and you can see from the extra that the mother was having great difficulty keeping them together and near her.  

One of the ladies I meet regularly told me that there were moorhen chicks in the reeds at the far end of the small pond.  I wasn't too hopeful but the dogs were patient, as usual, while I watched and waited .... and then one appeared looking for food from mum or dad I expect.
