What A Day

If it could go wrong  - it did.

However, we were given tickets for the Bruce Springsteen concert at Hampden.
We got away at 4pm - and it took 2 1/2 hours to get to Glasgow (should be a 1/2 hour journey)!!!!!!
We can't blame concert traffic either - just shocking traffic management due to roadworks and a breakdown on the motorway.
Parking wasn't a problem (less than 1/2 mile) and by the time we arrived at the stadium it was 6.45pm.
I am glad to say the Bruce waited for us. He came in stage as we got to the turnstiles.
It was a lovely sunny evening - the drawback to that was the sun in our eyes - but we could live with that!
3 1/2 hours of solid music!
And I mean solid music! ........ The volume was physical and there were no gaps or talking between songs - just constant music. He and the band may be in the category of 'aging rockers' (late 60's) but My God they are fit.

Afterwards was a nightmare. There was a distinct lack of any form traffic management or police presence. We sat in car for an hour and a half to go a mile!
We ended up behind the groups equipment lorries leaving the stadium for God's sake!
Christ knows what would happen of there was any kind of emergency or major incident. We saw less than a dozen police the entire night.
