The Olympics started today... in Glasgow!

We have tickets for the games on Saturday but at the last minute got the chance to go tonight too.

Cue quick turnaround, camera and dinner grabbed and a wander to Hampden Park to find more police, security guards and stewards than I have ever seen. Good job guys!

A healthy-sized crowd saw a great game between USA and France, six goals in all and a super atmosphere. The kids of Glasgow seem to have adopted the Americans so U - S - A rang out round the stadium.

Then we did the Mexican wave a lot while a wee hoo-ha about flags got sorted out.
