Live Nativity

Every year, during our city's Christmas lighting ceremony, our church puts on a Live Nativity scene as a gift for the community. Tonight I sang carols with the choir, and my husband helped serve hot chocolate to anyone who wanted it (We have to tell people, "No, really, it's free. There's no charge. Merry Christmas!"). The animals were "live", the children were excited, and the Christmas season was officially begun.

As a special bonus this year, the donkey was pregnant and due on Christmas day, according to the farmer. This was really exciting news for the children participating in the event.
