The Little Man...Not About to Fan

The ball was high,
but Merrick would not be denied.
In the blink of an eye,
he came forward with the thigh,
and I'm here to testify,
that the ball went bye-bye.

Pretty good for a small fry,
but he did not get an RBI...
because he was the first batter.

Uncle Al and Aunt Shelley (Naturelover) came to see Merrick play t-ball tonight. Al's advice of "Be the ball" must have worked, because Merrick got his first "coach-pitch" hit. It's always good to see him smile, as he heads to first base.
