They have fledged

Yesterday, the baby blackbirds were still tucked into the nest, but today the nest was empty.  One of the fledglings was perched on a pipe, very close to where I was viewing, so I couldn't go in close enough to avoid having the metal of the cage in the shot. After a couple of minutes, I heard a bit of fluttering and rustling, then I spotted another fledgling on the ground inside the cage - see my extra.  By now, the parent birds were getting anxious, so I left them in peace to try to persuade the babes to come put of the cage.
