Fish and chips by the sea

I had a gym session in the morning, then coffee with a friend.

Mr C and I drove down to Whitley Bay and picked up Thomas and James from nursery. Thomas was all smiles for Grandad but ignored me. Luckily James was pleased to see me - till he spotted Grandad! The boys spent the next hour playing on the climbing equipment and running round in the play area outside nursery. They obviously don't get much time at nursery outside charging about. We offered the play park but they said no.

After the parents got home we went to Patrini's for fish and chips, and drove along to the sea front to look at the grey rollers from the car (9 degrees and a biting north wind) while enjoying our supper.

3 weeks till midsummer and I've not had beach weather yet for taking the boys there to play.
