Arles take 2

Saw lots of things in Arles today, but was particularly taken with this carved head of a 'young prince' at the Arles Museum of Antiquity.

We visited the amphitheatre, the theatre and the cryptoportiques, which was called an underground forum. All dark and wet, filled with photographers and their tripods trying to take pictures. Interesting arches and corridors and bits of columns. All below the Hotel de Ville. Can't imagine being to be able to wander round such a place in England!

The weather was a bit cloudy, with the odd spots of rain, but we managed to avoid getting wet. Hoping for better weather tomorrow!
