It has taken 3 years...

... for this lupine to set a bloom!!
 I think the long tape root has to get established in that time. And why a lupine is nearly impossible to transplant once that are in their preferred place. I was so very pleasantly surprised to discover the blue flowers just starting this morning 'spotlighted' in the summer dappled sunlight!
