Azure Damselfly

Spotted a number of these beautiful damselflies flitting about at the edge of the canal.  Trying to photograph one was just a little tricky ... the sun was very bright and we kept losing sight of them.  This one alighted all too briefly but I did manage one shot and here you have it.

A lovely walk today along by the canal, into the Botanic Gardens where we enjoyed our picnic lunch and then up Byres Road for an icecream.  The only problem was that we had to walk back through the Botanics and along the tow path to collect the car.
