We often miss the places and experiences that lie on our own doorsteps and it has been years since I visited the site of the Battle of Bannockburn.

We put that right today with a visit to the beautiful monument and to a stunning presentation called The Bannockburn Experience.... 3D all round, genius member of staff leading the experience; and the Scots won!  A National Trust Scotland property, so free to members.
