Auntie Gertie

I had a great visit with my Auntie Gertie who is nearly 95. I posted this photo on Facebook as part of an album but I like this one the best, which is why I'm sharing it again. She has lived in the same place all her life and while, sadly, her memory is no longer so sharp, she remembers a fair amount about life in the town. She told me a story about coming to look after us when we were young, finding the house locked and climbing in through a window in her 60s! She thoroughly enjoyed the look on our faces as we walked in to find her sat at the kitchen table with tea and scones waiting for us.
