Day 152 of 366 - St Michael's Church!

Today's image was taken near to the National Trust property of Baddesley Clinton. The view is of the Parish church of St Michael. There is record of a Church on this site dating from 1305, however it is thought that there was a church here at least two centuries previous to that. The church as can be seen now was remodelled in the early late 15th to early 16th century by adding the Tower by Nicholas Brome, who was Lord of the manor of Baddesley Clinton. The addition of the tower along with other improvements to the church were the result of a penance due to Nicholas killing the local parish priest. Nicholas is buried just outside the south door (other side of the church). The Church was originally dedicated to St James but was changed to to the current dedication of St Michael while the church was being restored during the 19th century.

The photo was taken using the app VividHDR on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I cropped and straightened the image, then I added the Tonal Contrast preset. I also boosted the saturation, vibrance and ambiance. Next I used the app Painteresque to add a custom version of the Painteresque 2 preset. I then used DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used AltPhoto to add the Portrait Colour Film preset and frame.
