Should I Stay or Should I Go?
My Dear Fellow,
Contracting is a funny old business. My last contract was pretty full-on and stressful and left me exhausted. The current contract is very dull, with nothing to do all day and leaves me exhausted.
It would be quite nice to have that balance between enough to do and not too much to do. I'm not sure I've ever had a job like that though.
There are 60 days left in the current contract. Soon I'll have to start thinking about whether I want to leave or stay. Or maybe I won't have that problem and my non-existent managers will have realised that I really spend most of my days trying to find things to do and not extend me.
I suppose that's the thing about contracting. It really is a mental shift. I keep telling myself not to stress and just enjoy the downtime. It isn't always easy but knowing there's someone at the other end of a blip or an email helps a lot.

p.s. I like this tree. Every morning I try to take a picture of it but it never comes out right. This still isn't quite right, but it's the best one yet.
