How terribly British!

A barbecue in the rain.  Actually,  Jane doesn't want her new kitchen polluted by actual cooking so yours truly volunteered to cook the burgers on the BBQ.  Very nice they were too!

Another day of painting and it is almost finished.  However there is a delay in getting the splashback for behind the stove so it won't be completely finished for a few weeks.  Another problem is that the new (and expensive) Silestone worktop doesn't end truly at a right angle to the wall so the range cooker has a gap between it and the worktop.  The kitchen designer is coming out to look at it tomorrow.

This image may also have to do as my entry for our village photo group theme of "Self Portrait".  It really was a self portrait using a tripod and timer.
