58 years ago in 1958 (2): Times Square

Quite an annoying day 58 years ago - besides admiring Times Square at night. In the diary is the story about my grandfather's Paillard Bollex which became defective. Paillard Bollex were motion picture cameras of that time. He was so annoyed that this piece just stopped working at the beginning of their trip. They visited the Paillard branch in NY, but were only told that it would take a week to have it repaired. Just impossible, as they wanted to start the journey westwards. There must have been some cursing involved, but the diary is not that specific...
