Twitchy

Ears twitching like little semaphore flags she had seen something or heard something over the wind on the fields. With her baby just behind her in the hedge sheltering and possibly snoozing as babies do, so very young and helpless, my roe deer wasn't taking any risks.

My vigil in the stable was interrupted at every opportunity today and the final straw was Tilly who managed to nose me out, probably out of boredom but decided to investigate what I was looking at. Just managed to call/growl menacingly at her in time but any chance of the deer staying put had long gone!
