The plane to Wellington

The second day of this visit; in Nelson today. No chance for a photo in the morning, and then straight to the airport from the hospital at the end of the day. This photo is of the plane on which we travelled to Wellington. It was a little late in leaving and as the connection was tight, I was concerned. I became very concerned when the pilot informed us that Air Traffic Control wanted them to slow down due to congestion at Wellington. I was assured we would be okay. As it happened, there was plenty of time.

I did have to board the plane immediately after getting off the one from Nelson. But then we just sat on the tarmac. Eventually told they needed to check an air conditioning unit. Half an hour later they told us that we were to get off the plane and go immediately to another gate where a plane was available.

Untrue. There was a plane there. BUT it had only just arrived; indeed passengers were just getting off as we arrived. So we waited over another half hour before boarding, followed by over another half hour before we left. we landed about an hour and a half late. Safely, and that's the main issue I guess.
