Beauty

This lovely butterfly sat for quite a while this afternoon on a foxglove near our home. Gorgeous for us to see but a little sad as she seemed to have a wee tear on her left wing, just visible here. I don't know enough about butterflies to know what this means for her. We went out to dinner at a new local restaurant across the bay, Crane and Robin, and when we got back she was gone.
