A Grand Day at the Seaside
While the rest of the country was basking in wall-to-wall sunshine, we headed for the East coast. Between Driffield and Bempton the temperature plummeted from 18 to 12 degrees and we arrived to find Bempton Cliffs shrouded in sea fret.
The fret soon cleared as a strong on-shore wind whipped up, which combined with the cold made it difficult hold the camera steady.
We spent a couple of enjoyable hours watching puffins, gannets and guillemots (see extras). More photos on Flickr
Finished the day with a fish and chip teas, a walk on the sea front at Filey and doughnuts and waffles on the Coble.
