My Garden Companion
We have had an escallonia in our garden since we moved in 21 years ago. It has now outgrown its space so it was time to remove it. Two hours later, I was beginning to regret the decision! Most of the time this little chap was nearby, he even stood on the fence within a couple of feet of me on one occasion, making me jump with his shrill call.
I had the camera nearby, hoping for a chance to take a photograph and he duly obliges just as I was succeeding in moving the root ball. It is only now, as I process the image that I've noticed the loss of feathers on his cheek. Not sure what the cause is, reading on the internet it might be moulting, but if anyone knows I'd be interested.
Day 7 of the kitchen saw the fitters back (yes, I know it is a bank holiday, long story!), hopefully the units will all be fitted tomorrow so another panoramic image update may be in order.
