The Artistry of.....

..... the Stone Mason.  I went to one of our local churches today with the intention of blipping some stained glass windows for MM, unfortunately when I got there the church was locked and there was a notice saying no-one would be back until Wednesday.  Walking round the churchyard I was struck by the many ornate and intricate carvings on the graves;   of course the carvings of dates, names and people's ages all conjure up ideas of those lives lived, and now long past  -  a very practical use of art I think.
