Another very rare visitor

This is a Kerguelen petrel...very rare in our neck of the woods.

It is doing well being fed at our vet's home. She makes it salty baths so it can swim.... We are planning on releasing it on Wednesday morning by throwing it off a cliff overlooking the sea. These birds are unable to take flight off of land, and need a breeze to get airborne. Hopefully I will get some images to share.
