Blue Ridge

We went to a graduation party this afternoon.  His family had rented the facilities at the Claytor Nature Study Center.  It is a beautiful location with so much to explore.  I only had a small chance to look around the house and the gardens.  

The graduate is the son of a co-worker.  My co-worker and I have so much in common - we are both women engineers of a certain age.  Our children are similar ages and we have often shared their struggles and successes with each other.  I am so happy for the graduate - but also for my co-worker who has worked hard to see him to this place.  He is a successful young man with many wonderful adventures ahead.
