Geese!

Said goodbye to my relatives today - they were off to my aunts stepson who lives in Totnes. I drove them to Two Bridges which is where the fun started! We all suspected they and their luggage would not fit in his car - but he merrily put bags in the boot and packed the 3 girls in the back and put the larger suitcases on each of their laps - they were inches away from their faces and considering one of them gets travel sickness and the route over the moors is bendy, it just was not going to work! So he had no choice but to allow a taxi to be called! We sat in the sun and had teas and coffees as we waited. We heard the geese before we saw them - out they all waddled, one with what looked like a placard round it's neck! I suggested it said "Do not feed us" and the woman I spoke to actually believed me then when they came closer told me it did not say anything - at which point I had to explain I was joking! Thinking they had escaped her partner went into the hotel to alert them, I happily followed them to the stream taking photographs! Finally a hotel employee appeared and reassured me they were allowed to roam free, and that he would attempt to get the placard off once they left the stream - which they showed no sign of doing any time soon!
After a group photo opp the taxi arrived and it was hugs and tears. It was so good to see my aunt and cousin again and to catch up on their news, and great to see my second cousins all grown up
So home I went alone, stopping at Tavi for more food for the visitors coming the next day! Plus another round of washing, hoovering and cleaning! My hoover must be quite confused at the amount of use it has had!
