Lazy day

Got up at well after 11am. A much needed lazy start. Mr H spent the morning in his shed and texted, from there, to ask if I was up. I felt quite efficient telling him I was and that I was already making a veggie brunch. I had a London Grammar CD playing in the background and made a mental note that mornings should start with good music!

MrH spent most of the day doing creative stuff In his shed and I started sorting the study but kept getting distracted by eBay and paperwork. I managed to sort the debacle that is my car insurance- I am covered now!

I had plans to see the new Tim Burton film this weekend but I'm not sure it will happen. It looks just my cup of tea !

I must focus and finish sorting the study out tomorrow and maybe plant some lettuce and basil seeds. I could plant some runner bean seeds if I'm quick but I'll need to dig over the veg patch which is a complete mess after two or three years of neglect, I could do with the exercise to be honest. Fingers crossed the weather holds off.

MrH asked me if I'd exercised during the week. . . It's nearly turning the corner towards summer and I'm still in lazy winter mode!

Supermarket shop in the evening with s huge amount of other people. MrH insisted on packing the bags so I was at a loose end, he told me afterwards he hoped I'd chat to the chap on the till as he was packing (the guy was quite chatty). I wasn't aware of this as I'd been gestured away from the packing area, I stood well away playing on my phone. I bet onlookers must have thought I was super self-absorbed and unhelpful, standing there doing nothing whilst MrH packed! I need to have a sign that says 'He's told me to go away and leave him to it!'

The tills were rammed with last minute barbecue shoppers. It always signals warm weather or bank hols doesn't it? Bread was completely sold out except for small buns!

MrH declared he dislikes Quorn sausages (my attempt to have a healthier fry up) so I suspect tomorrow's breakfast may be a very healthy effort (no frying of grilling) which is not a bad thing.

Nice to drive my new vehicle. My last car was so bad towards the end that I was driving in constant fear it may break down.
I should have got rid of it earlier but I've been so busy. My confidence with the new car is growing, it's very nippy (and yes smaller) compared to what I am used to. Thursday and Friday I kept crunching the gear changes! "Teeth all over the road" my mum would say. Today I thought I was much more at one with it but as I shut the engine off MrH told me that My driving wasn't great and I need to have driving lessons again - ahh well, you can't win them all. I'll get there with it very shortly. I do about 10,000 miles a year now, down from 13,000, a smaller car feels better.

I bought some clothes from Laura Ashley (first time in years) as they have a big sale on. I'm sending half my order back as it doesn't suit. I have kept two quirky Summer t-shirts and a very sparkly top to wear to a formal event I am going to next weekend organised by MrH's brother.

Fingers crossed for a more productive tomorrow!
