Dickcissel

The dickcissel is a sparrow-sized bird named after the sound it makes. The breeding male is colored something like a meadowlark with a black V on the throat and a yellow chest. It's habitat is tall prairie grasses, and I selected a tall grass/shrubby photo to show the environment. I saw 10 of these, and when they all were calling it was loud and obnoxious!
