Kenmare

This is one of the streets in Kenmare close to our holiday cottage. It's  a lively little town with a good market.I particularly liked the model cow that advertised the ice cream shop!

We went into town for some shopping and the streets were lined with people including a school. I asked what was going on and it was an international cycle race coming through. There were a lot of police and backup vehicles driving through with horns blaring. One had a loud hailer which called "They're on their way!" The cyclists zoomed though in a few seconds scarily close together. There would have been a terrible pile up if one had stopped or fallen off.
