Flying kites

We are down in Deal for the long weekend. There is quite a brisk wind - just right for the kite convention taking place on the green outside our flat. Some of the kites are amazing, huge affairs - the octopus have tentacles which are 3 - 4 metres long. My fav are the flying ducks (reminiscent of the 50's ducks that used to take pride of place on living room walls?) and the octopus. The huge pandas and tiggers were fun but once anchored to the ground by huge sand bags were just left.
Him indoors has a big kite, perhaps he will get out although in a strong wind l am always slightly worried he may end up in France!
