Breaking the journey
I had a meeting in Inverness today, and drove up and back in a day. On the way up, I stopped for lunch in Aviemore, and a wee wander round the shops.
On the way back down I stopped at Pitlochry, pretty much half way between Glasgow and Inverness, for dinner.
It was a great drive, weather was fine and the road wasn't too busy. After my dinner (a very good fish supper, eaten al fresco), I took a walk along to the hydro dam and salmon ladder, and managed to spot a huge salmon in one of the pools. This is a view from the dam over Loch Faskally, created when the dam was constructed.
