after the rain - a precious couple (male & female)

i was all prepared to put up - a shot for flowerfriday today - but then the rain stopped - i opened my windows and suddenly i heard the sweet - sound of birds singing - i grabbed my camera hoping beyond hope - i might be fortunate enough to catch - those that were sending up the beautiful noise - sure enough, there in a nearby tree - were lovely finches in song - flitting in and out of the branches - i began to snap away - however it wasn't until i actually uploaded - that i was aware i had captured these 2 together - like this, and in decent focus considering the conditions - i had been too far away - they had been flying around too rapidly - so it ended up being a kind of win-win i guess - you could say since i didn't startle them off

typically i am not very good at capturing birds - well not small birds like finches - because they move so quickly - getting them in focus is just too difficult - i stink at it - but today, it sort of came together - when that occurs, i have to go with it - since it's a day i wish to remember - a simple moment which has made for...
