Cropton Forest

A bitty sort of a day clearing some clutter from the attic. Planting up some pots for the back yard and planning ahead for the weekend.

Neither of us wanted to go too far as Richard is still recovering from his fall and is trying to get some air to his wounds and I am trying to take it steady to allow the knee to settle down. So it was a jaunt up the road to Cropton Forest and Cawthorne Camps.

As an orienteering I am not a great fan of uncontrolled Rhododendron growth in the woods. However, they do put on a great floral display at this time of year. I had a play and decided the close up worked best. The extra is something I do not recall seeing before and that is Bilberries in flower. Have always noticed the berries but never the flower. Just shows how more observant I am since joining Blipfoto.
