Golden letter box

Spotted this golden letter box (one of a series painted to commemorate various UK winners of the UK Para Olympics) in Hay on Wye. The additional photo tells the story once in English, once in Welsh (Hay is in Wales) and also in Braille.
The letterbox is from the reign of George 6.
