Sant' Antimo

We spent a very hot morning at the beautiful Benedictine abbey of Sant' Antimo set in a timeless landscape of olive groves and vineyards.
At one stage and very unusually I was the only person inside the abbey so managed to make the image in the extras before the hoards of coach visitors arrived. The advantage of arriving early.
However I spent a lot of time in the abbey grounds amongst the olive trees with the tree in the extras reputed to be over 1000 years old. I loved this tree surrounded by it's attendant wild flowers.
