Early Morning Light

I was out at day break, and wasn't disappointed, as the lake was nice and calm, and there were only a couple of other photographers lakeside.  I watched the clouds turn a pretty apricot, then the sunlight hit these trees and turned them gold, but for only a minute or two.  The mountain peak you can see is called Coromandel Peak.  Home for breakfast.  Later in the morning I went to do a grocery shop, and stopped for a few more photos.  The girls in the extra photo decided to have a swim, it was pretty cold, about +2C at the time.  One girl was from France, and the other from the North Island.  They only stayed in for a few seconds!  In the afternoon the temperature climbed to +8C, but at least the sun is shining.

The forecast is for more snow, the Crown Range will probably be closed again.  Our weekend will be cold, I hope yours is a nice warm one.
