New neighbours

A miserable wet day today.  Extra shows the peony I blipped 2 days ago, now fully unfurled, and seemingly unharmed by the rain for once! (see here)

Looking over the field at the back I could see lots of new calves (love their eyes!).  As I stood there they all started to come over to the fence, and this Fresian in particular had no qualms about coming right up to the fence (until at one point my flash went off and he jumped a mile!).  

Not seen the reddish calves in this field before - this one was a little more wary,  You can see from the ground what "lovely" weather we are having!
