Lavender

A return to form at last (although I still have a sore throat and now it's 9.30pm I'm knackered). By 9.20 this morning I'd done the school run, collected a birthday present, collected Brownie stuff from the cupboard in our meeting hall, bought chicken good and milk and was home again!

I continued productively - catching up on a lot of chores (mostly laundry) that have been ignored this week, I even cooked a proper tea for us all!

The big excitement of the day is the arrival of our 2 new chickens. Only they are bantams: Blossom is a cream legbar coloured girl laying white eggs and Lavender (pictured) I think is a Lavender Pekin Bantam who should pay us tiny peach coloured eggs. Very exciting and we are toying with 6 bantams instead of 4 chickens...
