Umbrellas All Around

We went to a Big Sing in the Garden today. The garden belongs to one of Edinburgh's hospitals and we sang with people from other choirs, patients, staff and helpers.  The theme was birds, and maybe we sang like them - a bit? Because it was cold and wet we were indoors - in a large greenhouse, long and thin and full of interesting plants and art works.  We were plied with tea and cake, and everyone had a great time.

Later the rain came down in ernest, just in time to catch workers heading home. The lucky ones had brought their brollies and were putting them to good use - all shapes, colours, sizes and states of repair.

I took pictures through the passenger window of the car as we crawled home through the traffic, hoping the raindrops would give a nice blurred effect. And I stayed dry!
