Sunset in Northampton

Sunsets like this are unusual in Northampton (Massachusetts); this was taken from our driveway (no better vantage point is anywhere near).

When I alerted our neighbors, they said there'd been a rainbow earlier (but hadn't alerted me--I might have been out). There wouldn't have been a decent vantage point for that either.

A frustrating aspect of this capture is that the lowest bright area (around the chimney) was in fact an intense blue--but nothing I did to the file showed any hint of that. My exposure compensation was (apparently) +1/3--I guess I would have had to go much lower than that to get the blue. I still have not done HDR :(
