Pink and Red

Dear Diary,

I do love the colors in the garden in May.  Purple lilacs and blue violets and pink bleeding hearts.  And as an added treat, a red cardinal in the backyard.  Oh, and I can forget the teal blue Bunting and bright yellow finches!  Everywhere you look there is color.

Yesterday was our first really hot day this season...mid-80'sF.  I intend to go buy more perennials, this time for the meditation garden, this morning but it will take me a few days to get them in.  I don't do well in hot weather!  I will plant in the early mornings, when the air is still cool and the heat of the day hasn't taken hold.  The blessing of these hot temperatures is the black flies are gone!  They don't do hot either.
