baby blackbird

I went to visit Mum today. I cleared the weeds out of some of her vegetable garden, but stiil more to do (photo in extra). Lots of digging and some shrub cutting too. During the afternoon I disturbed a blackbirds nest, but I think the birds were on the verge of fledging anyway. The parents seemed to be doing a good job of feeding their offspring. This chap looked fairly happy sitting in the pear tree anyway.
