The story of the lost flip-flip

I came across this lost "sole" while squelching around the back of the Corinthian yesterday, determined that the rain wasn't going to put the mockers on yet another blip.

The partner was a little distance away, so I'm conjecturing that someone had thrown them away in disgust at the weather.

Quite what anyone looking at me thought, I don't know: I'll grant I looked a strange sight, in my soaked-no-longer-waterproof jacket, walking sandals, peering at the ground, up a side street, in relentless rain.

But that's probably another story.
