There is NO common sense in Manchester city council since they lost the Referendum on bringing in a congestion charge.
They have permanently closed off all the north/ south routes through the city centre, they have put tram tracks across roads, they have roadworks creating single lanes everywhere and are still fixing a sink hole on the main ring road that happened last August.
As a result when you have a knob getting his car stuck on the tram track and Springsteen at the football ground starting at 6:30pm it takes over 2 hours to go 1.7 miles to the motorway.
I really can see a day where companies stop locating in the city centre and go to nice leafy business parks instead. Manchester, you will finally achieve your aim of keeping cars out of the city, because no-one will work there anymore.
