I use GoHenry.co.uk to give the boys pocket money. They have a debit card, can't go overdrawn, and I can set limits on how much and where they spend. I'm pretty relaxed about it: it's their money and mistakes are learned from at their expense and without arguments or sulks. The upshot is that we have phases of parcels arriving which are not addressed to me and often from China: if nothing else I've taught the boys the value of shopping around. Value for money and quality are proving trickier concepts.
