The Lion and The Lamb
Today I've been overwhelmed by both cold and hunger. I feel like I've woken up from hibernation in the middle of winter with an overwhelming need to go out foraging for nuts and seeds. Or something. Anyway, the hunger was abated by a second lunch and the cold with the switching on of the heater, which I thought I had put away for the year (foolish). None of these are related to either a Lion or a Lamb.
My second lunch was provided by Waitrose and on the way I took a quick picture in St Mary's Church (warmer inside than out, surprisingly). I love the imagery and the paradox of God as both Lion and Lamb, both conquering and sacrificing. I also love that our big choir finale of the year will be in this beautiful church. Totes excited for that.
It's definitely too early in the day to start to summarise but thus far it's been a very satisfying day. Lots of things that I've been trying to sort out have come together and a couple of new things have come up which I'm really excited about. Anyway, after that second lunch, I should really get on with some work.
