Happy Birthday Stu

Today is Stus birthday.  Due to holidays and house stuff Stu has no days holiday left to take so unfortunately he had to go into work today.  I personally think it should be made a rule that nobody has to work on their birthday but Stu didn’t seem to mind. 
He got back from work and opened his presents before we all went out for a meal at Hickories.  Due to popular demand we had been unable to pre book a table and when we got there they told us we would have to wait and hour and a half.  Willing to wait we had a drink in the bar, but less than twenty minutes later we were seated.  The food was delicious and everybody ate too much especially Stu who ordered the full rack of ribs.  I have never seen so much meat, but he did an impressive job in finishing them off (with a little help from my Dad).  He did start to struggle towards the end and looked in pain he was that full, but somehow he managed to make room for a cuppa and a piece of birthday cake when we got home.  Apparently it’s a different stomach for cake!

HOUSE UPDATE – The builder is off work sick at the moment so progress has slowed down considerably.  The plumber has put more pipe work in and the boiler should be fitted early next week and we have a new piece of glass on order for the arched window as the scratch could not be removed.
