Shag

This morning was spent in a relaxing walk through Seahouses and out to Braidcarr Rocks to see the Kittiwake colony.
K decided to brave her sea- sickness and take a boat trip to the Farne Islands this afternoon. The sun shone and the sea was fairly calm and we had a fantastic trip: puffins, guillemots, fulmars, cormorants, terns, shags and gulls all featured and choosing a blip was really hard.
Lots of shots of puffins - looking like all the other shots of puffins, so in the end this shag won, but the guillemot egg visible in today's extras just couldn't be left out.
