All The Lidos 2012

A couple of months ago my friend Ellie had the stupid idea that we should swim in six lidos over the course of one day. We of course immediately agreed to this plan, with visions of sunshine and ice creams.

Today rolled round with forecasts of heavy rain and cold temperatures. Still, we ploughed on and made our way round five lidos (the sixth was shut!); Park Road (Crouch End), Tooting Bec, Brockwell, London Fields and Parliament Hill. It was an amazing day, and the rain and cold water didn't really matter. We somehow hadn't overly thought about the amount of swimming involved and ended up swimming 2 miles over 13 hours.
