The Wagon (on a very sunny day)

13.7C sunny and bright with some cloud in the afternoon. Light WNW/Westerly breeze.

Apothecary7's day off.

We drove North to Lochgilphead and went to the garden centre in town to look for a strimmer. Success.

The we drove on to Bellanoch on the Crinan canal and went for one of our very favourite walks. From Bellanoch bridge along the canal towpath to Crinan. The sun was shining and it was warm (definitely warmer than 13.7C !). Maeve the Deerhound got hot. As we passed Fraser MacIver's wagon (where he paints and makes prints) I stopped to take a photo and Fraser himself appeared from the greenhouse and apologised for the laundry being on the line. We all laughed and we said we thought it added colour to the shot and we proceeded to have a blether, with Fraser on one side of the canal and us on the other.

There were quite a few people on the towpath today, some with dogs and some on bicycles. There were people sitting outside the cafe at the canal basin at Crinan too. We went inside. Maeve is allowed in and it was nice and cool. We had some lunch. When we walked back along the towpath to Bellanoch there was more cloud but that was better for Maeve. She was very slow on the way back.

We went back to Lochgilphead to have a look in the newly revamped Coop. We were impressed. Even more so when we almost bumped into John Lowrie Morrison (the artist Jolomo) at the checkout. We like his work. Before heading home we had a visit to The Archway Gallery and Apothecary7 treated herself to an acrylic ink to add to her range of colours.

We were back in Campbeltown by late afternoon.

Note: I promised myself I wouldn't even take a photo of the wagon today never mind post it as a blip, but the contrast with the shot I posted in January (on the weekend we came over to look at houses) was so amazing I couldn't resist. I have added an extra taken at Crinan to satisfy my need for another sort of picture :-)
