Back in the early Eighties I was a Shearings coach driver and I drove Volvo, Bedford, Leyland, Ford and Daf coaches. I saw this coach in Whitby today and my first thought was about how the design of coaches has really changed. This coach was carrying a group of Americans who ate their fish and chips at Trenchers ( in 30 minutes ), had fifteen minutes to look at Whitby before heading to Castle Howard and then on to York. I hope they didn't start in Edinburgh (base for Ratho coaches) this morning !
